This is one reason I don’t like and Quicken. The last thing any of us should do is to give any one organization all our userids and passwords to all our bank and brokerage accounts. I understand and share your frustration, but here’s something to think about. is a free service provided by Intuit, the company that owns Quicken, so there would be no guarantee that will continue to be free or that any transaction transfer process would continue to function without difficulties, but appears to be more in line with the direction that Quicken is heading, so something based on may be better than the current situation. One idea that has occurred to me is to use to obtain transactions from all the financial accounts, and then come up with a way to extract the financial transactions from in a fashion where they could be easily loaded into Microsoft Money. So far, for my own use I am still able to use a combination of PocketSense, direct OFX downloads, and direct QFX downloads to get the financial transactions that I need, but it is a becoming a rather convoluted cobbled together process, and it would be nice to have a simple easy method of getting all of the transactions without periodically being faced with needing to adapt to changes in financial system transaction download capabilities. Unfortunately, I expect that the reality is that there are relatively few people using Microsoft Money or other financial systems that use PocketSense style scripted OFX downloads, and that financial services will be increasingly customized to work only with Quicken. I also have not figured out a way around this other than direct OFX downloads from the Chase website, which fortunately still works. I can do web connect QFX downloads, but that is a lot more trouble, so I would really like to find the direct connect URL so that I can continue using the PocketSense scripts for the transaction downloads. I have searched everywhere I can think of, and I only find the old URL that I am using. The credit union switched to a different service provider () in July 2012, at which point I started having some PocketSense timeouts and empty OFX files, but this only happened some of the time until a couple of weeks ago when the PocketSense downloads stopped working altogether. They have a copy of Quicken that they use for testing, and they were able to do a trace that showed the URLs after the Quicken direct connect login, but they were unable to figure out the URL initially used. In contacting the credit union’s technical support I was told that the URL (/scripts/serverext.dll) that I have been using is out of date, but they were unable to provide me with the correct URL. I discovered that the OFX files in the xfr folder are empty (0 length). Is there a way to find out what the OFX URL that is used by Quicken direct connect? Transaction downloads stopped working a couple of weeks ago for my accounts at the Oregon Community Credit Union, so I have been investigating what the problem is. If Citi decides to expire the individual certs and re-purpose the single domain for all of the older BIDs, then the issue should be short-lived and resolved when the migration is completed, the new certs are properly signed and are installed in the correct order. The code necessary to properly handle this new cert type wasn’t even a dream at the time QMac2007 was written. If Citi makes the decision to use Subject Alternate Name (SAN) certs to accommodate their multiple domains, then QMac2007 will cease to be able to connect via Direct Connect at all. The result appears to be that Quicken Mac 2007 will continue to have problems connecting to Citicards until the SSL Security Certificates are all installed and properly signed for this one/single BID. The impact on Quicken Mac 2007 wasn’t realized by the engineering team that made that decision, as they had not taken the old code base for that product into consideration. It looks like the server supporting Mac Quicken broke first: Ofxhome is reporting that the failure is on Citi Cards side since March 6th. These are Moneydance’s latest settings for Citi Credit Cards and they appear to be unchanged, but check them out…
